Founded in 1996, and headquartered in Basingstoke, Hampshire, UK (approximately 45 minutes from London) CNS began as a respected developer, manufacturer, supplier and VAR of leading edge control networking and communications products for the global building and industrial controls market based on Echelon's LonWorks® technology.

CNS has successfully completed a wide range of custom engineering projects involving software, hardware and both. Client custom projects have covered railways, road transport, buildings automation, lighting control and utility markets.

CNS has evolved into a specialist supplier of M2M, Convergent, CCRE solutions for 21^st Century buildings to the global market. It brings together in a seamless manner the world of ICT and Building Management, Building Automation systems or as we more openly describe it "Building Facilities sub-systems". We create Smart Products and Solutions combining hardware, software and Open/Defacto Standards communication protocols. This allows connectivity of any intelligent device in the building with any other as well as enabling the exchanging of value data between the building facilities sub systems and devices with the clients' business and enterprise applications.

Initial work has seen CNS adopt the Niagara AX™ platform from Tridium Inc. as the convergent platform technology of choice to deliver our Smart Products and Solutions. CNS has been a Certified Niagara AX product developer and Tridium Partner since 2005.

Our first Smart off-the-shelf product was called eLighting™ for Niagara AX™ launched in June 2008. It enables networks of DALI® intelligent lamps (ballasts and inverters) to be directly connected to a Niagara AX platform and commissioned, controlled and managed from within the Niagara AX web environment. This established eLighting™ as the world's first fully web enabled DALI® lighting commissioning, control, maintenance and management system. Now into its third generation we launched CNS's elitedali™ Multidrop for Niagara AX™ in March 2011 which will be the basis of our next generation of our converged web based Niagara AX™ lighting solutions for DALI®.
