How 'Flooding' your Niagara® Ax deployment using eNode™IV in 'Flood Mode' might save money - There are many situations when you need to connect widely dispersed field devices to a Jace®. These devices may be distributed widely over for example a campus, office block or other facility. This most often means that you have to deploy more Jace hardware than the application or integration needs just for the sake of physical connectivity. This in turn creates significant extra cost.
One way to avoid this extra cost, whilst delivering all the benefits of a Niagara based solution, is to extend the Jace's physical network reach using eNode™IV Lon/IP and Lon/WiFi routers in Flood Mode.
Interfacing Echelon® LNS® based Networks to Tridium's Niagara™ Framework - CNS is pleased to announce that it can now offer cost effective solutions that allow Building Management and Automation Systems which is based upon Tridium's Niagara AX™ and R2 Frameworks to interface with LonWorks LNS based networks.

Euro JACE® 400 - AX Series - To integrate diverse systems a physical connection to a device's network is required. The Java Application Control Engine (JACE) is the mechanism that provides this connectivity to systems within a building.

Tridium AX Supervisor - AX Supervisor® is one of a suite of Niagara Framework® products designed to integrate a variety of devices and protocols into a common distributed automation system. It incorporates the industry's first software technology to integrate LonWorks, BACnet, Modbus, and various Internet standards in a common object model, embedded at the controller level and supported by a standard web browser interface. Web Supervisor also includes integrated network management tools to support the design, configuration, installation, and maintenance of interoperable networks.
Tridium Global Cache Driver - The Global Cache driver for Niagara AX enables audio-visual (AV) equipment which is controlled by Infra-red (IR) signals to be managed by Niagara running on a JACE. Global Cache manufacture a range of IP to IR bridge devices which allow IR commands to sent over an IP network. The Global Cache software (purchased with the GC IR/IP module) can learn the IR commands from any manufacturer's remote control and the command set loaded into a JACE. This enables the JACE to send control messages over IP which are translated by the GC module to IR. Multiple GC Modules can be controlled by a single JACE for multi-room applications. If desired, an IR receiver connected by an RS232 port on the GC module can receive and send on IR commands back to the JACE via IP. This enables Niagara to fully control AV equipment in any room of the house. The GC modules are available in versions sizes (different numbers of IR emitter ports), and they also have some local relay switching options. Contact Tridium for details of how to obtain the Global Cache products.
Tridium SMS Service - The Niagara AX SMS Service enables SMS messages to be sent from any JACE or PC running AX Supervisor via a GSM/GPRS modem. The SMS Service can be configured to limit the number of alarms transmitted per day to avoid excessive alarms. In the advent of a power outage, all outgoing messages are queued so they can be sent when power resumes. The Service also allows messages to be sent manually from a Px page.
Tridium Tenant Billing Service - The AX Tenant Billing Service (TBS) is a Niagara application which enables users to easily monitor tenant utility usage and to create invoices based on that usage. The application serves as both a monitoring tool and an invoice generation tool, allowing invoices to be manually or automatically generated for a variety of utility usage patterns. The user accesses the TBS application through a standard web browser. No client software is required. Invoices can be created on a scheduled basis, and e-mailed out in PDF format.
Tridium Vykon Energy Suite - Vykon Energy Suite® (VES) is an applications suite designed to help manage energy and facilities. Built on the Niagara Framework, VES can gather data from diverse systems including utility meters, building automation systems, and mechanical & electrical systems, as it supports all common protocols including Modbus, BACnet, OPC, and LonWorks. In addition, users can import data from a variety of sources including CSV, HTML, XML, SQL and Oracle. There is no limit to the number of points that can be monitored. Beyond data gathering, VES provides building operators with a window into the energy usage across the portfolio with a web-based reporting suite.
Tridium Vykon Jace 200 - The JACE 200 series is a compact, DIN-rail mounting platform utilising the NiagaraAX Framework for integration, control and web serving. The Jace 2xx includes Ethernet and serial comms ports as standard. The communication capability can be extended by adding plug-in cards into the 2 expansion slots within the unit. DIN Rail mounted I/O modules can be added to provide up to 66 directly connected points.

Tridium Z Wave Driver - The Z-Wave driver for Niagara AX enables wireless Z-Wave devices to be managed by Niagara running on a JACE. Z-Wave is an internationally used open standard RF Mesh network, aimed primarily, but not exclusively, at the residential and small commercial buildings markets. Many companies already offer, or are currently developing Z-Wave compatible products. Already available devices include light switches, plug-in switching modules, temperature sensors and thermostats, PIR detectors, I/O modules, electricity meters and hand-held remote controls. Contact Tridium for details of suitable products and their sources. To communicate with the Z-Wave network an RF interface module must be connected to the JACE RS232 port. The advantage of an external RF unit is that it can be located for best signal strength, and outside any metal enclosure that the JACE may be housed in.
